If animals are our soul, then people are our hearts.
WHO ARE THE SAN?
Khoisan Group
Where you may see a smudge in the dirt, an experience San hunter can tell you the species, age, sex, intention and time lapse of an animal that left that smudge. To understand their knowledge of the world is to understand a whole new world. After living in harsh African conditions for generations, the San have adapted to finding water and food where most of us would just see desolate conditions. They do this by tracking weather conditions, reading the nature around us, resourcefulness, and following instincts.
Khoisan Group
They are one of the oldest cultures in the world, as part of the Khoisan group, and were discovered to be one of the 14 groups of people from which all modern humans have descended. Traditionally, the San are hunter-gatherers, which in today’s fast-moving world has resulted in some of the difficulties they regularly experience. This vibrant and fascinating community is expert at hunting in Africa, and typically found in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, and Angola.
